DIPLOMA (2005)
multimedia center
Located in Bucharest in the campus of the "Politehnica" Institute close to commercial centers, student dorms and transportation nodes the project proposed a variety of spaces from exhibits, library and auditorium and conference room to offices and study rooms along with an outdoor amphitheater.
The building has 12600 sq m and is configured as a dynamic overlay of slender shapes with an attention for details and color.

fashion concept
The building explores shapes and concepts without a concrete site but responding to certain functional demands. The main design concept emerged from the tension forces (resembling the ones from a corset) applied to a concrete slab.

Designed as a large box of wooden pixels fixed in a metal grid, the temporary construction offers a place of playful interaction and communication to both pedestrians and drivers by giving the possibility of rearranging the small square panels in an on/off position and thus creating a large array of images appealing to close and distant passers by, including the many offices surrounding the big plaza.
